SK Lowther (they/them), MSW, CDE® is a queer, nonbinary, white, visibly able-bodied Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB) expert and senior project manager with 20+ years of experience leading complex IT initiatives, digital transformation programs, and organizational change efforts.

Mx. Lowther is a national thought leader in LGBTQIA+ workplace equity and inclusion who recognizes the importance of creating spaces that intentionally center marginalized voices. They are passionate about helping people show up authentically and are dedicated to empowering individuals through education, coaching, and transformational experiences. Utilizing an authentic teaching style that blends storytelling and skilled facilitation, Mx. Lowther engages audiences in ways that elicit empathy while also advancing knowledge.

Known for their collaborative approach and ability to inspire meaningful impact, Mx. Lowther has an innate ability to connect with people at all levels and help them feel comfortable. Their thirst to understand human behavior led them back to school at Georgetown University, where they attained executive certifications in Diversity, Equity & Inclusion and Organizational Consulting & Change Leadership. They regularly guest lecture for Georgetown’s School for Continuing Studies on the continuum of gender identity.

Mx. Lowther holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with an emphasis in sexuality and gender studies, and a Master of Social Work from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. They are also a Certified Diversity Executive (CDE®).

Alongside their DEIB expertise, SK brings senior-level experience in project management, business systems analysis, and IT program delivery — having led multimillion-dollar federal health communication programs, enterprise IT systems, custom applications, and national data platforms. Known as a translator across disciplines, they bridge executives, developers, designers, and researchers — ensuring complex projects are delivered on time, within budget, and designed for lasting impact.
